Steven Goldwasser, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in Jacksonville, FL, specializing in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. With decades of experience, Dr. Goldwasser is a recognized leader in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders, offering advanced surgical and nonsurgical solutions to improve quality of life for women.

Dr. Goldwasser earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

From 2000 to 2006, Dr. Goldwasser served as Assistant Professor and Chief of the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Florida Health Science Center, where he helped train future specialists and advanced clinical research in the field. In 2011, he joined Women’s Care to continue providing expert care to women in Northeast Florida.

A pioneer in his specialty, Dr. Goldwasser has been instrumental in developing innovative surgical techniques and evaluating medical devices used in pelvic floor reconstruction. Dr. Goldwasser is also active in community education, regularly speaking at public forums including Baptist Health’s lunch-and-learn sessions and events such as Speaking of Women’s Health. He has appeared on WJCT’s Health Matters to raise awareness about urogynecologic health concerns and empower women with knowledge about their treatment options.
